This Chali Durga idol shows the goddess in her full family setting, with Lakshmi, Saraswati, Kartik, and Ganesha on either side of her. It was made using Bengal’s 4,000-year-old lost-wax Dokra style. The surface texture of each figure is unique because it is carefully sculpted in beeswax, covered in clay, and cast in heated brass alloy. Mass manufacturing can never duplicate this. At 11 × 13 inches and 2 kilograms, this sacred sculpture commands devotional spaces with timeless artistic authority.
