When it comes to Bengali culture, the Palki has long been considered a symbol of celebrations and processions that are associated with festive occasions. In order to create this piece, the lost-wax casting technique, which originates from West Bengal and dates back 4,000 years! In the beginning, each figure was molded with beeswax, and then the details were added by hand. This sculpture, which measures 9 inches by 5 inches and weighs 700 grams, is a very moving piece that, when added to any curated space, adds both history and beauty.
