Their forms are made in the warm brass language of West Bengal’s 4,000-year-old lost-wax casting tradition. Each graceful detail, like the flute, the flowing clothes, and the way the two figures interact with each other, is first sculpted by hand in beeswax and then cast in brass alloy.
