Description
The Saraswati Standing on Swan shows the goddess of knowledge, music, and the arts standing on a swan, or hamsa, which is her sacred vehicle and a symbol of purity, discernment, and the search for truth. The veena, the flowing clothes, and the graceful swan under her feet are all made by hand using the 4,000-year-old lost-wax casting method from West Bengal. First, they are sculpted in beeswax and then cast in warm brass alloy. This idol is 8.5 inches tall and weighs 560 grams. It brings divine artistic energy and heirloom-quality Dokra craftsmanship to any sacred or decorative space.
