Description
The Two-by-Two Four Person Dokra Frame shows four tribal figures, two men and two women, in a balanced horizontal arrangement that shows how people in the community live their daily lives, how they get along with each other, and the quiet dignity of living together. The first step in making each expressive figure is to shape it in beeswax. Then, the figure is cast in warm brass alloy. The figures are in a frame made of natural wood that is 13 by 22 inches and was made by hand using the 4,000-year-old lost-wax casting method from West Bengal. This wall piece is 210 grams and adds real cultural warmth and handmade history to any home or office.
