Description
The Two Person Palki Wooden Dokra Frame shows a scene from Bengal’s ceremonial past that people love. It shows two people carrying a traditional palanquin with purpose and dignity. The movement is captured in a 12×15 inch horizontal wooden frame. The Palki has long been a part of Bengali cultural life during celebrations and processions. Here, it is made using West Bengal’s 4,000-year-old lost-wax casting method, with each figure shaped first in beeswax with fine hand-tooled detail. A wall piece that tells stories about heritage and adds artisanal beauty to any room.
