Description
The Folk Dokra Durga uses the free-flowing artistic language of Bengal’s folk traditions to make the goddess seem very real. It is less about traditional religious symbols and more about the deep devotion that has been a part of village worship for hundreds of years. The lost-wax casting method is 4,000 years old. It makes every detail by hand in beeswax and then casts it in brass alloy. This strong idol is 16 by 23 inches and weighs 820 grams. It brings the wildness of tribal and folk art to any sacred or decorative space.
