Description
The Folk Dokra Durga uses the free-flowing artistic language of Bengal’s folk traditions to make the goddess seem very real. It is less about traditional religious symbols and more about the deep devotion that has been a part of village worship for hundreds of years. The lost-wax casting method is 4,000 years old. It makes every detail by hand in beeswax and then casts it in brass alloy. This strong idol is 9 by 7 inches and weighs 800 grams. It brings the wildness of tribal and folk art to any sacred or decorative space.
